Celtic Chieftain

Spot the anachronism!! Celtic ladies didn’t wear glasses, but there we are!! This one does!

This is a Celtic Chieftain. Some Celtic tribes had a brave woman as the Chief. This lady wears her hair free, unlike the Roman women. She wears several layers to keep her warm in the British climate. You can tell from the decoration on her clothing, that she is important.

She has on a roughly woven shift.

Then a light coloured underdress on top of that.

Over these things, she wears a fine woollen overdress.

For outdoors, she wears a shawl.

One of my tougher warriors!! Complete with body paint!
